As we approach Memorial Day, Hutchinson offers several events to honor our veterans and engage with the community.

Memorial Day Observances

On Monday, May 25, the Senior Advisory Board will meet at 10:00 AM, followed by the Library Board meeting at 4:30 PM. These gatherings provide opportunities to discuss community initiatives and honor the contributions of our local veterans.

Community Events

Looking ahead, the Hutchinson Center for the Arts is hosting the “Pollinator” Community Showcase from May 20 to June 27. This exhibition celebrates the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem and features artwork from local community members. The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please note that the gallery will be closed on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

For those interested in local governance, the City Council will hold a workshop on Tuesday, May 26, at 4:00 PM, followed by a City Council Meeting at 5:30 PM. These sessions are open to the public and provide insights into the city’s ongoing projects and future plans.
